'Pants' means different things to different folks...

Although I'm pretty good about mentioning my author activities on social media, I've been less than responsible where this blog is concerned. I figure the least I could do is post a bit about my latest book. Wolf and Mouse is set in the world of the GrimFaerie Chronicles—but Kane and Ariana aren't featured in its story. No, this is between Maximus Lucanis von Gerhardt and his estranged brother, Julius Hartmann. Both are werewolves. Max is the leader of his clan, a billionaire

Next weekend, February 28 and March 1, I'll be in Lake Jackson, Texas for the Brazoria County Comic Con! It's the 4th year for BCCC, and I've been looking forward to it ever since I drove back from the last one a year ago, lol! Held at the Doris Williams Lake Jackson Civic Center near 288 and Oak Drive, it's a super-fun, family-friendly event with something for everyone who enjoys comics, movies, gaming, cosplay, and...fantasy books!! I'm bringing a truck-load of them, and fo

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I’m back—and not only that, I’m back in a big way! 2026 is going to be a very interesting year for me because I retired from teaching full-time at my martial arts school. Now I’m looking at a full-time career as an author, and I’m so excited I can barely stand myself. I opened Jade Mountain Martial Arts here in Katy, Texas, over 22 years ago. In that time, we’ve had three locations, I’ve taught thousands of wonderful students, bee

After what seems like forever, the latest book in the GrimFaerie Chronicles is out! Woo hoooo! Yes, it took far longer than I intended,...

It's come to my attention that I haven't written a single thing here in many months! I'm so sorry to have neglected my website so badly,...

Wow, I've been so busy dealing with...well, with everything, that I totally forgot to post here when Grim Obligations went live. Holy moley, how can I miss such a thing!! It has been something of a crazy year, so I don't mind admitting to being somewhat distracted. I mean, seriously, 2020 set the bar pretty darned low...all 2021 had to do was be remotely normal, and it would automatically be a 'better' year, but noooooooo. As of this writing, Most of Texas is suffering from p

I've been quiet on here, mostly because I've been writing! Yes, I finally got moving on the next Kane-Ariana adventure, and it's aaaaalmost ready! If all goes according to plan, I should have it out before Christmas this year. Woo hoooo! I have a ton of fun writing these stories. The characters do what they do, I just report it, really. Not a lot of planning when I write, I just jot down the movie I see in my head. This story highlights Detective Avery Lynne, a woman who disc
