Wolf and Mouse: a Tale from the GrimFaerie Chronicles

Although I'm pretty good about mentioning my author activities on social media, I've been less than responsible where this blog is concerned. I figure the least I could do is post a bit about my latest book.

Wolf and Mouse is set in the world of the GrimFaerie Chronicles—but Kane and Ariana aren't featured in its story. No, this is between Maximus Lucanis von Gerhardt and his estranged brother, Julius Hartmann. Both are werewolves. Max is the leader of his clan, a billionaire businessman and philanthropist known to his people as the King of the Werewolves. Julius has lived alone in a forest cabin for decades, far from the world of men.

Julius has lived alone for decades, and he likes it that way. But when a young woman stumbles onto his property and thrusts her baby girl in his arms and begs him to protect her, everything changes. Cold-eyed men in black arrive soon after, bringing far more firepower than sense. They didn't know Julius was a werewolf. They learned that the hard way.

Ten years later, Julius and Madison are still on the run from the men in black, always a step ahead, but just barely. To make matters worse, Madison isn't quite human. Dark powers are gathering within her, and no one knows how long she can keep them in check. And the one man Julius doesn't want to kill is now leading the hunt: Max. But Julius made a promise to protect the girl. Now he'll do whatever it takes to keep it.

𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 is a standalone tale from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗙𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 about family, loyalty, and the monsters we'd become for the people we love.

It was a bit more intense than some of my other stories. It kind of hit me in the feels. I hope you'll give it a shot and then let me know if you liked it too.
